Rosary Ladies
Continue the ancient tradition of prayer through daily recitation of the rosary.
The Rosary Sodality was organized on October 13, 1925, under the guidance of Rev. Alexis Gorski,
the founding pastor of St. Bruno Church.
On October 13, 2000 the Sodality observed its 75th anniversary
along with that of the founding of the parish.
It could be said that the Rosary Sodality is the matriarch of all the St. Bruno societies
and for that reason is very special.

at the 5:00 PM and 9:00 AM Masses in English and the 10:30 AM Mass in Polish.
The English Choir meets on Monday afternoons at 6:30 PM.. Our Chords for the Lord
contemporary choir leads the prayer at 9:00 or 12:15 on the second and fourth Sunday
of each month. This group practices on the Wednesday evening before these Sundays at 8:00 PM.
Ushers
They welcome members of the worshipping assembly,
and assist in various ways during the Mass and other special events. Men and women who serve as ushers must
be dedicated to expressing hospitality through their every action.
They are also prepared to offer assistance
whenever needed. The ushers set the stage for a spiritually enriching experience,
by offering guidance and assistance to worshippers as well as a kind greeting.
As of January 2011 there 35 Ushers and 2 Usherettes. All Ushers wear the same uniforms. Blue Jackets, White Shirts, Ties to match and Black Trousers.
Most of the Ushers are BiLingual: English, Polish, Spanish. They have two meetings a year. One before Easter and Christmas. The President is Ed Czuma.
Lectors
The Proclamation of the Word at Mass is a ministry of prime importance. The
purpose of the Lector ministry is to tell the story of our faith, proclaiming
the Scriptures in such a way that God’s word comes alive for the assembly.
The assembly’s worship is greatly
enhanced by Scriptures that are effectively proclaimed. Instead of dry, ancient
texts, the Word of God is heard with immediacy, meaning and power.
In proclaiming the Word of God, the Lector grows in
love, knowledge, and appreciation of Scripture, and enjoys knowing that he/she
is contributing to inspiring and effective
liturgies.
St. Bruno Altar Servers
Young Catholics have been performing the ministry of altar server since the ninth century.
The principal
function of the ministry is to assist the presider at Mass. The ministry of the altar server is necessary for the proper celebration of the Mass.
Prospective altar servers are prepared to make a commitment to serve God and their fellow parishioners,
just as St. Bruno’s first altar server, Mitchell Gron.
Reliability, reverence, and confidence are attributes an altar server possesses.
Young people from
St. Bruno School and the Religious Education Program grade 5 through 8 are eligible to make the commitment and take on the responsibilities of the ministry, with their parents’ permission.
Eucharistic Ministers
Since the early 1980’s, one way
some of the lay man and women of our community have
chosen to exercise their common priesthood is
through Eucharistic ministry.Eucharistic
Ministers become servant of the Lord and servants of the worshipping assembly as
they distribute Christ’s Body and Blood.
This ministry requires the
ability to handle the sanctified bread and wine with reverence and confidence,
and to communicate a spirit of welcome to those approaching the Lord’s table.
By sharing the special gift of
their ministry with the community, Eucharistic Ministers accept the invitation
of Jesus to give of one’s self as he did. Participants grow spiritually,
especially in their love and appreciation of the Body and Blood of Christ.
Parish Liturgy Committee
The Parish Liturgy Committee was first started in the early 1980’s when the church began to have the laity involved in many aspects of liturgy.
The committee assists the pastor in planning liturgies based on the yearly liturgical cycle. This ministry enables our faith community to be full and active participants at our liturgical celebrations. The Liturgy Committee promotes spiritually rewarding liturgies that allow our community to effectively pray and give thanks to God.
