St. Bruno Altar Servers

Young Catholics have been performing the ministry of altar server since the ninth century.

The principal function of the ministry is to assist the presider at Mass. The ministry of the altar server is necessary for the proper celebration of the Mass.

Prospective altar servers are prepared to make a commitment to serve God and their fellow parishioners, just as St. Bruno’s first altar server, Mitchell Gron.

Reliability, reverence, and confidence are attributes an altar server possesses.

Young people from St. Bruno School and the Religious Education Program grade 5 through 8 are eligible to make the commitment and take on the responsibilities of the ministry, with their parents’ permission.
