Please call the rectory to make arrangements. All parents and godparents are required to register for and attend a Baptismal Preparation session.

English Baptisms are on the first Sunday after the 9.00AM or 12.15PM Mass.
Polish Baptisms are on the second Sunday after the 10.30AM Mass.
Spanish Baptisms are on the third Sunday after the 2:30 PM Mass.

Baptism is a time of special joy and blessing and it can serve as a reminder to us about our faith and what it means to us.

Your baby’s Baptism is the first and most important step you will take as parents in the life of faith of your child.

The very fact that you have asked to have your baby baptized is a sure sign that you recognize the importance of God in your life.

Baptism is a birth into the Christian community and is in every way as solemn and important as birth itself. It’s an event that needs to be prepared for.

We will help you to plan and prepare for the Baptism in the best possible way. Our Baptismal preparation sessions will take place in the parish meeting room.

You will be asked for certain information in order to fulfill our pastoral requirements regarding:

registration and participation in our parish.
eligibility of Godparents ( the Church insists that one Godparent is a Baptized and Confirmed Catholic who practices their faith).

We will ask about the status of the marriage of the parent(s) ; although Baptism will not be refused because of the parents marital status. Couples not married in the Church are invited to consider having the Marriage blessed.

Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation. In our School and Religious Education Programs we offer preparation for reception of this sacrament. In adherence to archdiocesan policies, a student must have two consecutive years of catechesis in preparation for reception of this sacrament. Our students prepare for Confirmation in the junior high level. High School students are invited to call the Religious Education Office to enter a program for Confirmation.

The anointing of the sick is a sacramental rite. A person is anointed to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an emotional or physical or psychological illness. In the sacrament we pray that the sick be healed in body, in soul and in spirit. God alone knows what kind of healing the sick need most: that a wound be healed; that a fear turn to confidence; that loneliness be embraced by the support of a praying community; that confusion in the face of all the whys—why me, why suffering, why now—turn to insight. The Sacrament of Anointing does not remove the mystery of human suffering. Yet its celebration gives us a window into the mystery of our loving God.
